Bathrooms are one of the trickiest rooms to paint. Small space, lots of obstacles, awkward angles near the ceiling - and if you're going bold with a dark color, every imperfection shows. That's exactly the kind of job where DIY can hit a wall fast.

This one started as a homeowner's attempt at a black-and-white bathroom refresh. Great vision. The execution just got tough. Cutting in a crisp line between dark walls and a bright white ceiling takes a steady hand and the right tools - and in a tight bathroom, those top corners get really unforgiving, really fast.

We stepped in to clean it up and carry it across the finish line. Smooth, even coverage on the dark walls. A clean ceiling-to-wall line with no bleed. The contrast between the deep charcoal-black walls and the crisp white ceiling is sharp and intentional - exactly the look they were going for.

This is a good reminder that bold color choices aren't just about picking the right paint. Application technique matters just as much. Getting the edges right, building full coverage without lap marks, and keeping everything uniform is what separates a finished look from one that just feels "almost there."

Interior painting - especially in bathrooms - is one of those things that looks simple until you're three hours in with paint on the ceiling. We're always glad to step in, whether it's a full job from the start or a rescue mission midway through.
